Our work · Relief of poverty
Relief where it is needed.
Our second purpose is to prevent or relieve poverty, suffering and distress anywhere in the world. Faith that does not feed, clothe and shelter is not the faith we follow.

How we help
Three kinds of help
Grants to individuals
Direct help for people in need: to meet urgent costs, to recover from a crisis, or to get back on their feet.
Grants to organisations
Support for charities and other organisations already working to prevent or relieve poverty, so good work can reach further.
Items and services
Practical things that make a difference, such as food, clothing and essentials, and services that help people through hard times.
Who we help
We help people in need wherever they are, in England and Wales and abroad, without regard to their faith or background. We give particular thought to people who have lost their home, work or family support because of what they believe.
Asking for help, or working with us
We are setting up how requests for help and partnership proposals are made. Until then, please write to us, saying briefly who you are and what is needed. We read every message.
